Wondering if the local trash collector has emptied your bin can be frustrating, especially when the snow piles up. Many people live in areas where they are required to keep the bins off the street once they have been emptied, but making multiple trips through the cold snow or treacherous ice each day to see if your trash has been collected can be a hassle.
Or, perhaps you arrive home and wish to return your bins to the garage but aren’t sure if they are empty. Wouldn’t it be nice to know at a glance if you need to go outdoors to drag a bin up the driveway?
Enter Flagit, a new invention that helps homeowners know easily whether their trash has been collected! The brightly colored yellow flag pops up after emptying the bin, and it’s visible even through blowing snow or rain.
No More Unnecessary Trips Through the Rain or Snow To Check Your Trash Bins!
The Flagit consists of a small, weather-resistant yellow flag and a tripwire that activates when the trash bin has been lifted and emptied. Once the bin is no longer full, the Flagit pops up, so you can tell the bin is ready to be brought inside.
It’s a simple yet effective mechanism that can be used on any municipal trash or recycling bin. Attach the Flagit to the side of your bin, set it, and forget it until it’s activated!
• The Flagit will automatically pop up when the bin is empty
• The notification flag eliminates any unnecessary trips to check the bin – perfect in inclement weather or for people with mobility limits
• Easy to install – simply attach the Flagit to the side of the bin
• It’s a must-have in wintertime or for people who have difficulty getting to the curb
• Made to last – built with quality, weatherproof materials!
You can purchase multiple Flagts for each bin: trash and recycling. You can even use them for commercial trash pick-ups, which means less time wasted on the clock to check if the bin is empty and ready to be refilled.
The Story Behind Flagit
Inventors Norm Deschamps and Anna Payment of Canada were tired of trekking through the snow and sleet to see if their trash bins were emptied. They tried looking out their windows to determine if the trash was empty, but it was too difficult. So, they collaborated to invent Flagit!
